Searching Survey Records by State or Province

Searching a survey by state or province is just another use of the Search function. It is a way to find records related to a specific state or province without exiting the current survey or restricting the topic and survey lists.

Unlike the View by Jurisdiction feature--which limits the display of topics, survey titles, and survey records to a specified state or province--the Search feature enables viewers to find references to a specified state or province from within a full survey.

In the screenshot below, the View by Topic button is highlighted, indicating it is the active mode. The search term "traffic" has been entered in the Search field, resulting in the display of California's records with the search term highlighted.
